We made a lot of really bad songs and some good ones. We took a course at London School of Sound so we could learn how to program music and we just worked long and hard and started making more and more music on our own. From there we started working more with DJ’s, firstly writing their toplines and bit by bit we started to do more. Then we discovered Ibiza and our whole lives changed – we were super inspired by the dirtier, crunchier beats and the longer grooves. First we started writing for pop stars as we thought that would be a fun career. We had been writing songs from when we were around 15 years old. NERVO: It’s been a pretty crazy (but fun!) overall journey in music for us. Miriam, Olivia – it’s been more than 2 years have passed since you released your debut album “Collateral” – How would you describe your musical journey since then? Are there currently any plans for a follow-up album? Last year I released ‘Freak’, ‘Can’t Fight It’ and my new single ‘Lost in You’ with NERVO is following that line. Aside from this we also have music which focusses on radio and portals like Spotify. But I also release the ‘GO HARDER EPs’ which still focus on the clubs and festivals, but give me room to experiment and try new stuff. Quintino: If you look over a larger period you will see that in 2016 I started a new path where I release music for the clubs and festival like ‘Baldadig’, ‘Underground’ which are releases more in line with what people expect from me. Are you heading for a change in direction or are we hearing you try out different styles? Quinten, Speaking of your recent production, it certainly differs from your previous tracks “Carnival” and “Baldadig” with Hardwell and “Underground”. We did most of the work remotely so there was a lot of back and forth but it was a fun process. This time we manage to finally do it ! Working with Quintino was easy. NERVO: We have been friends with Quintino for so long and have always spoken about working together. It was such a pleasure working with the girls! Because we know each other so well, from the beginning we were on the same page with this track. From the moment we met we always wanted to work together and now we finally have ‘Lost in You’. Whenever we have a gig at the same venue or festival we always end up together on stage having so much fun. Quintino: I’ve already known the girls for such a long time. You guys have an amazing new single called ‘Lost in You’, what sparked the interest between you two for a collaboration, and what were the inspirations behind the track? It was when a song we wrote for David Guetta – “When Love Takes Over” won a grammy, that we thought we should give being artists a try ourselves. NERVO: We had been writing songs from when we were around 15 years old. Miriam, Olivia – Tell us about the origin of your music. Already having received support from the likes of Firebeatz, Tom Swoon, Blasterjaxx, Morgan Page, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, R3hab, Hardwell among other top drawer artists from the industry, ‘ Lost In You’ has all it takes to become one of the hits of this year. Drawing in from the trap style beat-work and a peppy synth-work for melody, ‘Lost In You’ is primed to be an outlier on the charts when it comes to tracks having a bit of everything. Taking no prisoners in terms of emotions, the track – apart from being a chirpy production itself – is laced with sensible and suitable lyric emoted strongly. The track titled ‘Lost In You’, released on Spinnin’ Records, is another statement to the industry in terms of what the summer has in store for listeners.Īn outright pop-hit from the start, the track begins with a soothing layout from the production desk with a superb vocal shift put in from the track’s vocalists. Fresh off his two remixes for Galantis and Spencer & Hill and a single on Spinnin’ Records, the Dutchman returns with a team effort with the NERVO duo, who’ve been on a little run around in the industry itself with their latest track ‘Forever Or Nothing’ with Lauren Bennett. Just when the summer asks for a befitting track to kick it all off with, trust only the collaborative effort of Dutch DJ Quintino and Aussie twin duo of Nervo to crop up a solution.
